| What does it mean to be Chinese in the midst of drastic change?
As the 2008 Beijing Olympics approach, the eyes of the world are
increasingly turning toward China. The country's rise into the
world's second-largest economy has meant unprecedented economic and
social upheaval. At the center of this upheaval are the millions of
Chinese who have packed up and moved - some leaving the country
altogether, some returning - in search of a better life.
Accomplished Chinese-American filmmaker, Kenneth Eng, is finally
turning his lens to his ancestral home, to follow
four stories of ordinary Chinese people who struggle to hold on to
their identity in the midst of radical change. |
